About XOGAMOS

'Xogamos' stands for 'Let's play' in Galician language, appealing the value of social playful activities for cognitive stimulation.

The XOGAMOS project deals with the improvement and sustainability of cognitive stimulation therapies in the elderly through AI models and techniques that will be integrated into a social robot. From a user-centered approach, the project addresses the challenge of ensuring the reliability of the integration of such models that generally make them inadequate in the context of real use. The aim is to evaluate the capacity and value of incorporating the developed AI to support cognitive stimulation activities.

Intelligent Interactions in Social Robots for Cognitive Stimulation Activities (XOGAMOS) is a research project funded under program Convocatoria 2024 - «Incentivación de la consolidación investigadora».

Featured objectives

We investigate how to deliver safely more efficient cognitive stimulation therapy with a social robot in dialogic multimodal contexts.

Multimodal QAs

Multimodal models for (visual) question-answering and dialogues.

Social robot for cognitive stimulation

Dialogic activities ready for cognitive stimulation with a social robot.

Responsible AI

Designing with user-centric and responsible AI principles in mind.

Student assignments

Graduation/Master projects from GrEI/GrIA/MIA programmes can be arranged to support the technology development for several of the ongoing research tasks. For interested Erasmus’ students from other universities or for any other sort of assignments associated to this or any of our projects (XAI4SOC, TELSEC4TAI, SOSFood, iRead4Skills), please contact the respective PIs for alternatives.

TEAM

(under construction) Collaborators still to be added here.
